Account information: when you sign in we store your email address so we can send you a passwordless sign-in link and associate your journal with you. We do not store passwords.

Your content: the emotions, journal entries, notes, intensities, and moods you log. This content is yours — we use it only to provide the app to you.

Usage data: aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics (via Google Analytics) about how the site and app are used, so we can improve them. This does not include the content of your journal.

To provide the core features of emotions.family: your emotion map, journal, and the awareness charts derived from your own entries.

To send you the sign-in links you request, and, if you opt in, the notifications you have enabled.

To understand and improve product performance in aggregate. We never sell your personal data.

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic and engagement. It may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can block these with your browser settings or an ad/tracking blocker without losing app functionality.

Your data is stored on secured infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections. We restrict access to the systems that hold your data and take reasonable measures to protect it.

You can access, export, or delete your journal at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us and we will action it promptly.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

emotions.family is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
